Episode 4 – Needs Must Where on Morrow Night

Now gather round friends, let me tell you a tale of three heroes, noble and bold A brute, a druid, and a thief who is but nine years old You know them by name, you know them by deed, their quests are famously daring So here I sit, singing to you an adventure that is worth sharing Tuck is the brute, he knows not his home, he loves to sing and fight Fingers have health, he shifts his shape, and wields his spear with great might Billy's a thief, his tiny size does mask the largest heart Best and brightest they may not be, but their friendship outweighs their smarts So gather round friends, and listen close, for the tale's about to start Hello everybody Hello everybody I wasn't ready, I'm sorry No it's okay, we just went so fast from Good Charlotte to the Not fast enough I say Yeah I looked over while we were listening to the anthem by Good Charlotte and Paul was fixing I was finally doing my taxes He was fixing his watch You guys were thrashing about I was finishing the popsicles in the fridge like your parents said I could have Paul's been babysitting us for eight years When last we left our heroes, the High Spear, the magical tower connecting all minds across the world Had been shut down by one special little boy Fat Billy And the party, realizing that Billy had turned off the High Tower and had been unable to turn it back on Arrived at the top of the High Spear in Waleed the Speaker's palatial, quote unquote, penthouse bedroom Unable to verbally communicate with one another Tuck being Macaulay, as was Waleed, was able to follow some written directions Using his incredible ability to read, which we finally confirmed Once and for all The mystery of the podcast has been solved And then arriving at the top there was some communication working out Until we realized that the party could use the Chamberlain Rings to communicate with each other within Tuck's mind palace, the Husky Then it was decided that everyone would head downstairs to check out the machinery powering the tower Including a mysterious engine and magical water whirlpool system Meanwhile, outside the High Spear, machinery and giant chunks of crystal crashed into the city Already in chaos, causing further damage and disarray Beneath the tower, puzzles were completed, a pathway was discovered and the machine was reactivated Thus allowing the party entry into the main chamber and control room of the High Spear Within which they found a number of written notes from Waleed the Speaker having been pushed through this hole in reality For his first contact with another human mind in over a century Get in the bag Get in the bag, they said Get in the fanny pack, which they shoved through using Tuck's ability to break the laws of reality Oh man, from that battery It was from the battery you shoved into non-existence?

Yeah All those many years ago Yeah Truly Tuck's only superpower is a savage level of stubbornness That could be it Don't tell me what to do, Sean Waleed was extracted from his hole in reality, increasing the number of wizards on this plane by 25% 33% 33% repeating You won that round 33.3% repeating, idiot Yeah, that's better Master, I'm the master of math now Hand it over You're smarter than I'll ever be Who's to put that on paper?

No, I'm not Yeah, you are The party left the wizards in control of the control room and headed outside as the tower was being battered by the approaching storm Thronebreaker's storm, Lillian's storm, approaching the city of Highspear, the magical field protecting the tower down as the tower itself rebooted Billy and Tuck, down on the ground level, began to create a fairy ring around the tower itself While Tuck protected him from falling debris and rocks and such While up far up above in the sky, Ving and A4 fought off the approaching Thunderbird hordes Jaeger style Yeah, Pacific Rim What's that one with Hugh Jackman robots?

I thought we were doing a rescue mission for the guy stuck on the crystal It's just literally you guys helping the guy down onto the top of the tower Catch the rope! He keeps just barely missing it It's too high, I'm scared! And after some difficulty, you recover this man Okay, I guess back inside?

Yeah, I'd say so We would go back down to the control room Yeah, so Billy and Tuck meet Ving outside the elevator on the main floor Yes And head down into the control room Yeah So we see the three of you in an elevator It's just silence and Girl from Ipanema is walking And then there's like a moment of like How do we address this thing with Billy? Where we're like, as parents, we're like So, Billy Yeah? Remember the conversation we had just before pulling the big switch?

It rings a bell Your instinct, like it usually is, it was really good And I think it's important that we start there, right? Yeah Ving? Yes, I think that we trust you But for us to keep trusting you, trust is earned Trust is earned And I earned it, didn't I?

Well one, I feel bad that they're getting yelled at Because he's taking the brunt of the trouble I'm supposed to be in But also I'm getting kind of jealous Because he's getting the credit that I deserve So Billy goes in waving his hands like Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, stop what you're doing Everyone They're still tumultuously yelling at each other Hey, hey Little kid trying to scream into the middle of these three adults You see him, like, just the top of his afro Pop up over the table How do I get their attention?
