Now gather round friends, let me tell you a tale of three heroes, noble and bold. A brute, a druid, and a thief who is but nine years old. You know them by name, you know them by deed, their quests are famously daring. So here I sit, singing to you an adventure that is worth sharing. Tuck is the brute who knows not his home, he loves to sing and fight. Fingers have health, he shifts his shape, and wields his spear with great might. Billy's a thief, his tiny size does mask the largest heart.
Best and brightest they may not be, but their friendship outweighs their smarts. So gather round friends, and listen close, for the tale's about to start. I'll fade this out. Yep, fade out, and then we start. Sorry. Hello everybody and welcome to Spelt Lore. I'm your game master, experiencing the cleanest fade out of all time, Sean O'Hara, and joining me as always, engineer of the cleanest fade out of all time, and playing Tacoma Dome the Barbarian, Abdul Aziz. Oh, shit, sorry.
What are you doing? Bye! Shit. That's fine. Don't start over, or do. Playing Ving the Half-Half… Half? Half-Half. The Half-Half. You cannot call me that. Playing Ving the Half-Elf Druid, Paul Oppers. Hi. And playing Fat Billy the Halfling Thief, Jessica Tye. Hi. When last we left our heroes, they were engaged in battle.
Aldous of the Empty Sky and Billy in his winter spirit, fairy storm form, defending the well, doing irreparable, immeasurable damage to Aldous of the Empty Sky and the spirit to which he was bound. Eagle returning after all these years. Caw-caw.
Billy attempted to command Eagle to return to the spirit world, and succeeded in the way that Eagle did leave, but Eagle brought with it Aldous of the Empty Sky's material form back through a rent in reality, taking him away from the fight and tossing him to who knows what threats and dangers. Meanwhile, Tacoma Dome the Barbarian passed out from pain. Yes. And loss of fluids.
Returned to his mind palace, the Husky Diner slash gas station, where he attempted to aid Billy in the fairy from his brain-damaged state. Using the Demon of Loyalty. Using the Demon of Loyalty in the form of a kindly old janitor, but found himself snowed in due to the interference of the storm.
And down on the beach, Ving and his newly reunited mother, Ilyana slash Adernac Allwater, took refuge in Ilyana's old hut before returning to the fight in the well after hearing that it was in fact agents of the Gibbous Man which have returned to steal a piece of the moon. The party reconvened. They were collected.
They were reunited as Billy in his fairy form realized that Stormbreaker was creating a whirlwind above Hibernia and ascended into the skies to do battle with the King of the Thunderbirds. Pretty sick. On his own. He threw some pretty lucky rolling and help from his friends, was able to avoid most damage, and deal a devastating blow to Thronebreaker, cracking the obsidian bezoar in the mighty Thunderbird's skull. Thronebreaker retreated, regrouping in the clouds, and the party was once again…
Oh, Ving descended into Tuck's Pizza Palace Husky Mind Zone. I showed up on the scene and everybody was passed out, and so I said, I know what to do here. I fell on my face. Heading right in, and heading he did, eventually freeing Tuck using some elemental mastery and destroying a portion of the Mind Palace in the process. Oops.
Returning to the material world, the party, along with Victoria and Illyana, decided that the best course of action was to descend into the well itself and attempt to either calm the bear or retrieve the piece of the moon themselves.
And they did so with the help of a friendly vine spirit, descending through the cavern to the edge of a body of water, deciding finally to use the tunnels beneath to travel to the realm slash lair of the lunar bear, determined to be the mother of spirits and the protector of Hibernia. And that is where we find our heroes now, in a tiny little submarine made of spiritual vines. Blublublublublublublub Well, you have to stop farting. Please. I swallowed a lot of air when I had to hold my breath.
How else do you keep it in? It's not air. It's not air coming out. If you were adding air, I would allow it. I filled my body with air. It has to come out. That's not what's happening. You're not helping. Wow. Way to shame a natural bodily function. I try to help you guys. Where else am I going to let out the fart? Do you want me to go back in the water and hold more breath? No. No. Oh, my God. It smells so bad. I'm sorry. I had a lot of dried fish the other day. Oh, God.
Cut back to the mirrors, and he's like, Oh, my God. Someone ate all the expired anchovies I threw out. Where's all my salt gone? Okay, so you're inside. You're inside for now, at least. The submarine created by the spiritual vines around you. Yes. I think what we're looking at is a perilous journey. Oh, yeah, totally. Because you're in the caverns beneath. So someone is going to scout ahead. I think that our rations are air. I like it. I like it a lot. So do not leave Billy in charge.
I'll store them in my butt for later. No, Billy! What are you doing? You're ruining the air. Yes, for later. The vines, they can't keep up. Billy, that air is for everyone. He is actually turning them into parts, though. Watch this. No! Billy, no! Billy, that's more than yours. Jessica, no! No, Billy! Jess, there's so little air in here. She's sucking up all the air in the studio. You're talking like, Billy, stop. That's something that a shitty boyfriend would say.
It's like, you're sucking up all the air in the car. Stephanie. I can hardly fucking breathe in here, Stephanie. Oh, window. You're cold. Huge nose sucking up all the air. I'm cold. I want to smoke. Greedy nostrils. I can hear you gulping it. I can hear you gulping up air over there. Good God. That guy's a piece of shit. This guy we made up? Yes, you made him up. That might be you. That guy. That was the peak of making a guy to get mad at. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would never be like this fake guy.
Pulling his girlfriend for breathing? That's disgusting. People are like that probably. Maybe. And I hate those people. Yeah. Sometimes when Sean's nose is going crazy, I get a little mad. Yeah, yeah. I'm trying to sleep. It's usually when I sleep, I engage some sort of turbo breathing protocol where I just go. No, it's when you. Is it whistling? I can't do it, but you force out so hard. Oh, yeah. And it blows all my hair around. Oh, wow. Okay. So stay sharp. Scout ahead. Manage provisions. Yes.
Those are the three. Who's doing what? I will scout ahead with the waning knife. Oh, yeah. The guiding light. I like it. So that's plus wisdom. Nice. Eleven. Great. Who's staying sharp? What is staying sharp? Oh, I'm so sorry. It's navigate. Oh, yeah. I was wondering. Navigate. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So Sean's adapting. We're all adapting to Sean. No. Stay sharp is when you're making camp and someone's like on watch and something's coming up, then you're like, what's that? Right.
But yeah, no, it's navigate. So it makes more sense for you to navigate. You've got like a little periscope. Yeah. Yeah. It's my own hand. It's also your, this is your island. Yeah. Oh, that's true. Yeah. All right. Let's go. Two to six plus intelligence. Oh. Three plus two is five plus zero. Wait. Yes. Five. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. That's okay. Well, I, uh, Billy got kind of pissed cause you told him not to breathe all the air. So he's like, I told you to stop farting.
You're allowed to breathe. Fine. I'm not allowed to breathe. You hold Billy. Hold his breath. He's holding his breath. He's looking out and then he's just like, I did not tell you to do this. And then manage provisions, which we're saying is air. Yeah. I guess I'm trying to blow air into Billy's lungs. Put the vines up his nose, like in the hospital. Wake up. Wake up. Uh, yeah. So I rolled a two and a one. So I failed. Okay. Jesus guys. So, uh, Babe, you shouldn't have told me what to do.
Oh my God. Billy. Wait. That did fuck us. I think you might be right. Oh God. No, no, no. He's got something here. No, he's on to something big. You cannot give it to this. Oh my God. He's gently parenting us. Oh wow. This isn't a conspiracy. He's just an. asshole sometimes. Whatever he says bounces off us and sticks to us like glue. Oh my god. What? Uh, so with an 11 from scout ahead, Ving's absolutely unmitigated success. Truly. That way.
I do like that that means Ving's like right at the front scouting ahead and you guys are doing this behind him. He has no idea how bad it's going back there. But with the two you get to choose two from this list which I'm about to recite to you. You get get the drop on whatever lies ahead. You make a capital D discovery where we roll on a list to see what cool stuff you find or you notice sign of a capital D danger. Guys, discovery or danger? I was gonna, I was leaning towards discovery.
Yeah, let's do that. Maybe we'll discover some winewood down here. Yeah, very unlikely. Maybe we will. Maybe there'll be a bodega down here. They'll have an alcohol section. So, Ving, you're like guiding through the uh the depths with the the the waning knife. There's like almost like transparent leaves that have been woven into a little view port in front of the diving bell. Nice. You're traveling through these deep subterranean tunnels filled with this water. Clear, bright crystal water.
Hibernian water. As we know, extremely spiritually potent. And you see uh the waning knife is like glinting as it does when it is detecting some sort of moonlight or or Lilian Lilianic presence. You see through the viewport uh tinted green by the chlorophyll dense leaves that have been uh created in this subterranean tunnel. In the this sunken part of the island, you see what looks like a adorned passage. Carved in like the form of almost like a door lintel. Whoa. Submerged in the water.
And you think you see maybe like the water moving in a way as you pass by that there's like air above it. And you're like, oh yeah, air. Interesting. Uh air. And you realize your head is getting a little light and you turn around and Billy and Tucker just like passed out. I try and guide the vines towards the air. I don't think that I can get you very much farther than this. It's time to get out. Oh. Because that's this is what this is the risk here. He's run out of his distance.
He can't supply us any more air. It's too too far too deep down. Okay. Um it's harder for him to get to you where you are. So it's here or you can find a different way to get some oxygen in here. You can maybe create an elemental form to protect you. Uh or you can you can kind of get off and explore this. Basically we're running out of submarine. You're running out of submarine. And air. And air. And there's a cavern here that might have air or you can find another more creative solution. Okay.
So I could we could check in with this air that's gathered here. This door. I could try an elemental master like a bubble around us and use that to travel through. Yeah. Which would maybe get us enough of the way through. Yes. To get to the bear. Because we're trying to get to the bear to put him back her back to sleep. Sorry. Whoa cleft. Why did you not look at me when you said that? I just looked down. It could be because of your camo trucker hat. Because of my racist shirt. Sorry.
I looked at Jessica because she's the most woman. She's the most female. I have read the most locust books. She's read the most locust books. Yeah that's true. Yeah. She's dressed like a lesbian. What? She's wearing a shirt. She's wearing a flannel shirt. That's called my wife a lesbian. I definitely look pretty lesbianic. Hey man. Dude every the lesbians are the coolest chicks in the world. So that's a compliment if anything. That's because you're a lesbian. Yeah man. I dress like a lesbian.
Nice. I dress like uh Ellen. Ellen you do. You do dress like Ellen DeGeneres. You dance like Ellen too. Wow. I never thought about that. And you're really mean. Yep. People hate me. But it's the opposite of Ellen DeGeneres. It's your bosses that hate you. Yeah my bosses hate me. Okay so I want to go to the bubbles around this door. We don't want to mess with this door. We don't need to go on the other side. Oh no what I'm saying is there are there is a door. Yes. With air.
It looks like there might be air beyond the door. And then I go. Please. Billy's been farting so much I think I'm dying. My smells are made out of farts now. He held his breath and he just started farting. I can't do it. I can't do anything. His breath smells exactly like Billy's farts. He's doing the smallest little farts. He's passed out now. Yep. Yep. Yep. Come on you can do it. You can do it while laughing. There we go. He's doing it. There's so much. He's killing us. He's going to kill us.
It can't end like this. I can't keep farting. I knew it would end this way. Beneath the farting tree. Inside a farting tree. I knew this would happen to me. I knew it. The last thing I say will be a fart. I want to go for the air on this other side of this room. Okay yeah you're yeah great. Yeah with what? You could steer it. How would you be steering it do you think? I'm mastering the elements here. Yeah you can master the elements. Elemental the current. Elemental form. Oh yeah you could move.
I have three hold because I rolled a plus 10 on this. I'm in a hold situation. You're in a hold situation? Yeah I elementally formed a submarine. Oh shit. Oh yeah. I totally forgot about that. So you could just take control of this thing and purge the air and create new oxygen if you wanted to. Ving steers for the door and I just want to gather some of that fresh air to give us the the wherewithal. The presence of non-fart mind to purge the rest of the air. Okay great yeah. Okay so uh.
I'll use one of my holds. You can use one of your holds. You just steer over and like a little vine tube like goes up into the air. Yeah it starts sucking the air down. Starts pumping the farts out. There's a there's an oxygen meter going up and a fart meter going down. It's the whatever drown bar from uh Lara Croft Tomb Raider. Yeah totally. Just starts to be eliminated. Yeah it starts to fill and you all just go. It's like now fresh air.
Uh great uh and then I would like to use my other hold to just get us there. Absolutely yeah because you're like oh man where you're looking around glinting the the knife is absolutely guiding you kind of in the direction of this doorway. Um but you don't know what this is. No I send some of the vines through through the cracks of the door to grow new roots and then I want to kind of commune with them and just see if I can like uh you know a mark of the beast kind of see through them.
Tiger's eye them. What the hell the name of my moves are? Eye of the tiger. Yeah so you can absolutely uh send some vines up through the door uh kind of up these steps. Yeah. Into this chamber. Yeah. Whatever this is. Use them as a periscope.
Yeah so you're more sensing through the spirit world than you are seeing and you see sort of uh a combination of raw stone that also looks like it's been worked over but more just smooth rather than like bricks or anything like it's just kind of been smoothed with time and maybe a few hand tools um but from where you are the structure the purpose of this structure is unknown to you. Do you remember when uh you had your shapeshifting taken from you? There was like a tunnel into the ground. Yeah.
With like a stone altar. Totally the magi thing. Yeah. Oh yeah you do see that's what it reminds you of. You see this dark stone tunnel uh somewhere beneath the ground. You're feeling it more through the plants as they feel like the ground that they grow on uh but you do sense in the darkness the deep primordial darkness in this place an altar. Well it makes sense that there would be some sort of maybe some altar near the bear.
It's such a huge old spirit and different people have been here in different forms. Yeah you would you would hope you would assume a place like Hibernia whatever this is it's not going to be exactly like the place that the magi took you. And they would have kind of like they would have had to do something to coax the bear like away from the spirit realm to here. Maybe that yeah maybe this is where they initially made contact with the bear spirit. Okay I want to try and break through this door.
Okay you can either use your last uh elemental form hold to smash through and leave the vines behind uh or you can find some other way. Uh I like the idea of it like vines there's a couple vines growing into it and then more I send out more and more and more and then it kind of like builds this bubble on the side of the door and oh yeah cracks the door like an airlock. Yeah totally. Farts just flood into the altar room. This ancient room filled with ass gas for the first time. Billy. What?
Oh look who's awake. What happened? We told you to stop farting and you almost killed us. You're more fart than boy boy. Give me your give me your satchel. What do you have in here? What have you been eating? Fuck. Oh there's nothing but kimchi in here. I'm sorry I just found it in the ground. Oh right I take I see that you remember the chives that you threw in the thing the rotten chives that you've been carrying around since season four. No I couldn't tell what that was anymore. Take them out.
Hold on what else is in your bag? I feel like I'm… I feel like you have a Gimp mask. You have a Gimp? Why the fuck do you… Why are you clicking through buildings? Hey, that's my stuff! What the fuck? Why do you have a Gimp mask? I want Bing to go through Tuck's stuff. Whoa… Oh shit, yeah, here it is. That's my private… That's my private things. Okay, well… Do you have a teddy bear? Do you have a sword? Yeah, just normal stuff. Do you have a fun blade?
Okay, there's a really crusty section of mud affairs here. What the fuck, dude? Give that back! No! Dude, I'm trying to set boundaries with our kid. Well, this isn't even… Should go through Bing's stuff. Yeah, while you guys aren't looking, I'll start going through Bing's stuff. Well… Oh, three bows and arrows. I… That you never use. Billie, you have so many knives. Yeah, it's my collection. It says, my private stuff. No, but I'm just saying, I'm as… I'm saying…
In the last few days, you've said, I have no weapons. So many times, and you have a fun blade. You have a sword. The blade is for fun. You have a bow… It's for sword and… What's this scarf? It reeks like tuck. What is this red scarf? That's my scarf for me, for personal times. A violin? Oh, Venom Paralytic, cool! Billie, give me that. Don't touch that. Okay. I… Well, you need all of this. So just don't do it again, okay? Fine. I won't ever eat again. That's not what I said, Billie!
Oh my God! Don't let him get to you. And I go, you… And then I turn to Vigor and I'm like, you have to deal with this. I am losing my cool. And I… Go, get some oxygen. I walk away. Just relax, take a breath. I have to walk away from this situation. I need… I am losing my cool. I am gonna hit him. We are… What? And you splash away through the… Easy, big fella. Splash away through the knee-high water in the airlock created by the vines. Up these stone steps.
And then you hear Doug go, oh, fuck. Billie, can you help me gather some of this Hibernia water, please? Yeah, sure thing. I give him a job to kind of calm the situation down. Yeah, totally. So how many can I get? You can get three. Wow. Three doses of Hibernia water. Billy gathers it by gulping into his mouth and spitting it into the jar. Great. Thank you. Thank you. Blessed by a fairy. Thanks for using your mouth both times. You're welcome.
And Tuck, you are, as you hear Tuck and Ving and Billie gathering this water, you stomp up, lit by the crystal on the end of Larry Terry and Chad. And you see this worked stone chamber, an altar on one side of it, and then kind of past the altar, tunnel dug deeper into the stone. Can I smell lore about this chamber? 2D6 plus intelligence. Give me the secrets of this chamber. How I rub my fingers across it and close my eyes. Are you punching the wall? I turn on my targeting system. Turn it on.
Oh, he turns it back on. Whoa, holy shit. Six and five. Whoa. And then my intelligence is, mine is one, so I got a 10. Wow. And then I got a plus one, because it's nobody knows about it. That's absolutely true. It's an 11. Yes. Is your wisdom higher than your intelligence by chance? Absolutely it is. Yeah, yeah. So crazy that you still went with spell lore. Yeah. So something interesting. Something interesting that is also useful. I run my hand across the carvings in the wall. Absolutely.
I see, I see what I can see. May it be an evening light. Yeah, just fingers through the dust in this ancient verdigris. But yeah, you wipe your hands along the stones on the wall lit by the crystal, the purple light washing over. And you see carvings that seem a lot like stars and constellations. Whoa. You see old faded, but you know, clearer than you would expect probably due to their depth and isolation, hand prints painted on the wall, images of bears and the moon and the stars.
And you have to believe that this is a Hibernian chamber from long, long ago. And the proximity to where you believe the lunar bear to be, this must have been where they first performed the ritual to reach out through the spirit world to the first spirit. This is kind of the origin point. You would guess as Tuck, this may be the origin point of the druidic practice of spiritual communion. So this is a special place. Very special place. Does it have like a connection to the spirit realm?
That you can't tell, but this does strike you as a place where, if this is where the first contact was made, the barrier between the material and the spirit world must be quite thin. Oh, could we potentially use this to like get to the spirit realm or get something from the spirit realm here? That makes sense. A door beneath the ocean floor. Needs a lock and nothing more. What if that story meant this place? Oh yeah. Or both, I don't know. Old places deep beneath the earth.
There's these like few chambers that are very sacred in ancient times. That's what Tuck is thinking. The lyrics are like jumbling around in the set and he's like, a door beneath the ocean floor, huh? Yeah, but this might be like a transgression point. Yeah, it could be. Something that is a door to the spirit realm or somewhere else. Can I try and read the constellations? Yep. Yeah. See if they mean anything. Yeah, I mean, you would recognize the constellations that you would see on the wall.
What are the constellations, what do they mean? There's a constellation for the bear. There is a constellation for various prime spiritual forms. Like, you know, the elements, fire, water, wind, the fourth one. And then bear, eagle, crossed out, annoying written underneath. Yeah, it's basically like entreating prime spiritual forms. Cool. Yeah. Okay, I want to find out which direction that we go in with the waning knife and heading that way. Okay. Yeah, waning knife, easy enough.
Yeah, travel down some chambers. I think what we're going to do here, each of you is going to tell me something that you find on the way in this ancient Hibernian gathering place. Yeah. So you're following the waning knife, it's a pretty unerring guide, but you come upon a chamber, and within that chamber is Abdul. Ooh. Like, the first chamber that we saw, like, we walked through it, it looked kind of like, kind of druidic in its construction. Like, there's like the stone altar and stuff.
Like, as we move into the next one, it's like huge. And the carvings on the walls are way bigger. And we see, like, the 12 muses of the giants around the walls. Interesting. Yeah. Suggesting, of course, that giants may have carved this? Yeah, that there might be a connection here to, like, the prehistory. Yeah, interesting. Okay. Kind of like a new city built in the ruins of an old city. Totally, yeah.
Like, whatever this landmass, wherever it came from, in the time before men, when giants were, like, the only people in the world. There is, like, a remnant of that here. Totally, yeah. So you start walking through, and your footsteps are echoing off this massive chamber. And the light is glinting up at these huge ancient stone carvings. Call back to a long lost empire and a people gone from this world.
And you follow the knife out of this place into what is the next location that you find on your way through? Bing? We come into a small chamber from that very large chamber. Non-ornate, rough hewn walls, small, low ceiling, and very simple wooden, almost like bunks, cots laying out with cloaks filled with skeleton bodies. Whoa. Yippee. Yeah. Stacks of them. Okay. So the cots each have a skeleton.
Remains, human remains laying in them as the sound gets closer around you and the air gets stiller and rank. There are these. Billy! What? Oh, sorry. I didn't even, what? Okay, no, sorry, sorry. This is the rank air. I'm sorry, the skeletons just really creep me out. Sorry, something might have squeaked out when I saw one of them. Yeah, and these skeletons are, like, bone dry after all this time. All liquid has been leached out of them, but they're mummified nearly. Ugh.
And you pass by these ranks of old, you even, you see, like, some have desiccated skin on them in the remains of old tattoos. Oh. And you carry on out of this chamber, following the knife into, Jessica, what do you find next? It's like a natural small cave, and it's just a little wider of an area where there's, like, the stalag- Tights. Tights. Yeah. And some of the water from where the moon stone is laying. Water is bubbling up from there. It's like a little spring, I suppose. Oh, interesting.
Yeah, so there's even, like, even in the light, you can see there are, bubbling up from this spring. On the edges of the water, there are, like, plants that are growing without light, reaching up out of, almost like they're using the light suffused into the water from the moon to grow. Cool. And it's this lush little grotto. I would like to gather some of those plants. Oh. And study them. Yeah, you can, you can spout lore about these plants for sure. Okay, thank you. Seven. Seven.
So, seven to nine. Interesting, but not necessarily useful. Well, I think what initially strikes you as interesting is they're growing with no light, which makes you think about the life-giving properties of hibernian water and calls back to the creation of A4 and the other things you've used hibernian water for in the past. I think you think that life-giving nature of hibernian water would suggest to you that these things are full of it.
That's all they're sucking on is life-giving hibernian water. So, if you were to pop some of these plants in your mouth, it would probably have a medicinal effect. Cool. Yeah. That's a great one. What happens? Roll a D6. Four. You get four hit points back. Oh, fuck yeah. What? I need one. Roll a D6. I want to eat one, too. Roll a D6. Everyone's eating, but me. I got five. Five hit points. One. One hit point. Billy, they're really bitter, so you spit it out. Anyway. Billy, it's good for you.
How many did I get? Three. Roll a D6. Oh, yeah. Come on, six. Come on, six. Two. So, you get two. After you guys go through chomping on these plants like goats. Can I take some as well? Give me a 2D6 plus dexterity. 2D6 plus dexterity? Yeah. I don't have dexterity, so five. Five. Dang. You try to steal some metaphors, but you didn't fail. Six. Six hits. Six hits. Six hits. Six hits. Six hits. Six hits. Six hits. Six hits. Six hits. Six hits. Slap.
Yeah, it's just that you, uh, you're trying to, like, dig out the rest from the little β after you guys collect the, like, flowering parts, you're trying to dig out the roots, and you're just mushing them up in your hands accidentally. But you do notice that your hands smell very strongly of some weird kind of medicinal plant smell. I wash it off in the water. You're trying to wash it off. It's not helping too much, but, uh, you don't think anything's going to happen just yet. Yeah.
I just tuck them into my armpits. Like, they won't notice. That'll ruin any medicinal quality that remains on those fingers. He's clucking around like this. Hands in his armpits. That's really funny. It does feel like β it sort of felt like that one room was a guard room, and, like, this is, like β was maybe, like, a place to get, like, water and sustenance. Yeah. Like, someone might have been, like, guarding this, like β I know. This place?
I was thinking that all these bodies, like, maybe they sealed themselves in. They knew they weren't going to go anywhere. Oh, man. That's sad. Yeah. These magi. Kind of like the, uh, the pharaohs of old. Yeah. Do you think they tried to sleep? With the bear? Oh. Yeah, like, they β Oh, they were hibernating. They thought they could hibernate as well. Yeah. Until the bear woke. So cool if he β when he wakes up, there's a bunch of magi zombies. I did say tattoos, not necessarily magi. Yeah.
Not that we know of. Sure, yeah. Just people with ancient tattoos. It's, like, an old β it's probably, like, an old β like, whatever root of the magi and the druids. Yeah. Yeah. The crossover point from long ago. I like the idea, too, that it could have been, in chronological, like, we're walking through the cave. Right. From, like, the druidic altar β Oh, yeah. β into the giant's area, into what we would think is magi's, but they're post-druid. So it's something older than β yeah. Yeah.
Older than giants, obviously. But, yeah, no, I know what you mean. It could be older than giants. Like, it could be something that was here before, because the fairies are older than the giants, even. So with Billy's failure, I think as you're messing with these herbs and you've got the pungent, acrid, healing root oil on your fingers that you're trying to get off and wipe in your armpits, you feel the earth, like, heaves and shakes, and you get thrown into a rock wall. Shit!
Stones, like, tumble from the cavern above. I stop, drop, and roll. Two to six was constitution, I guess. He was paying attention. Twelve. Six. Okay, yeah. So Billy just, like, hunkers down in the rocks around him as he's rolling back and forth like he's on fire. I'm dodging these rocks as I'm falling down. It's really impressive. Wow! How are you handling it? I'm just taking it. Two to six plus constitution. Nine. Okay, yeah. So you'll take a d6 as well? Sick. Three. I have three armor. Yeah.
Thump, thump, thump. I'm just gonna, like, battle him out of the way with my bow. Oh, dexterity, I guess? Do, do, do, do, do. Agile-y. Old Vinci style. Great, I got six. Eight. Eight, so you take d6 damage, roll a d6. Six. Oh, yeah, you're trying to punch a rock out of the air. Two armor. Two armor, so you take four damage. You feel something pop in your hand as you're punching these rocks. No, no. Immediately, it does the healing that he just got.
But you feel like you must be close, based on the strength of that earthquake, that shake. You must be close to what you're looking for. We gotta move, we can't fuck around. So you hurry on down the corridor, following the glint of the knife, which is glowing. Didn't we last time smell the breath of the bear or something like that? We did. It smelled musty and weird. Yeah, we started smelling that den air. Yeah, and the air is like moving past you and then drawing back in. Oh, shit.
But you feel that it's uneven breathing as you're approaching. That's the thing that you're noticing, is it's not placid in and out. It's like jittering, like something's wrong. It's dreaming. It's dreaming. Something's wrong. Let's go. Let's hurry up. Yeah. And you arrive in a chamber. And what I'm imagining is that this part of it, wherever they drew this spirit in the first place, the cavern in which it sleeps, this complex, they constructed almost like a viewing area to keep an eye on it.
So there's like a channel cut into the stone that looks out onto the chamber in which the bear sleeps. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think last time we were in the lunar bear chamber, someone dropped a bad dream. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh, into the… Oh, no. Probably. Probably Tuck. And I'm pretty sure it might have been Tuck, but he blames Bill. It was one of us. He blames Bill. Into the bad dream bus? Oh, no. I came from a bad dream. And then Tuck goes, that's okay, buddy.
And you approach, as you're feeling like the rumbles in the ground, you're starting to feel the breath wash over you. You're hearing a deep rumbling growl, a snarling. And you look out over the chamber, which you can see the bear lit via crystals that are kind of growing out of the walls of this massive chamber. Its body, which I believe we described as like black and white, like patterns kind of grown in the fur of this creature. Yeah, doesn't it have like a big white spot or something?
Yeah, it's got… It's like a sun bear almost, but it's got like a moon shape on it. Right. Yeah. And the mother of spirits, the protector of Hibernia, is waking from a nightmare. As the bear twists and turns, you see like a paw, a gigantic paw, will slam into the chamber and stones will fall down onto her. And she is in the throes of waking from this nightmare. And you think that if you don't figure out how to do something, it's not just that she'll wake, it's that she might harm herself.
Can I use Life Symphony to try and just calm her energy and use that to kind of lull her awake instead of… Yeah. You can definitely try it. Yeah, yeah, of course. Yeah, absolutely try. So what does this look like when you do this? Because it's basically Eye of the Storm, capturing those around me in the spiritual bliss and togetherness of the natural world. So everything that's around in this cave that was used through spiritual energies to keep it calm and sleeping.
I want to kind of amplify those and just… Yeah. You know, with the shusher and all the things you have with babies, right? Yeah, totally. A rain stick and some white noise. Yeah. All right, so 2d6 plus… Con. Yeah. 9 plus 2 is 11. Okay. So this will… You see that she is rolling over, getting ready for a huge swing in the terror of her dream. And you reach out with Life Symphony through the spiritual forces that suffuse Hibernia, yourself and the bear. Mm-hmm.
And she lowers her paw and settles in and the earth rumbles still for a moment. This isn't going to solve your problem. No. But you've stopped her from… Lashing. Casting out this mighty paw. And now you just feel the uneven, frustrated, frightened breathing washing over you. Oh, okay. And you remember that there is a gale of another kind happening above the island right now. We hear a far away thunder like… Yeah. Thunder.
The lightning is like peeling through the sky such that you can feel it in the stones. Every once in a while, we feel the hairs on our arms raise. Yeah. As like a massive bolt lashes down. Oh, cool. Yeah. Yeah. That's sick. All right. What's the plan, folks? Can I add or I guess I can do it in addition to… Please add, yeah.
I'm laying my hands on her and try and see through Eyes of the Tiger and just see what she's dreaming about and just see kind of the vision that she's having while she's calm. That's sick. I love that. You'll have to leave this area and enter the chamber. I will do this. Okay. So you climb out of the little observation area of this temple and scale like down, you know, a few meters. Down the crystals? Down the crystals to the floor and this huge bear slumbers above you.
And I close my eyes and settle my fingers deep into her under fur. So I have to mark her somehow. Mm-hmm. Yeah. How do you mark her? I place my hand with the waning knife and glow moonlight blood. Yeah. White glowing. Ooh. Yeah. Moonlight pouring out of the cut in your hand. Yeah. Pressing it to the bear's fur. Yeah. You know what? Give me a two to six plus wisdom. Eleven. That'll do it.
is making a connection with this bear, passing into the dreaming world of this mighty spirit, and you are seeing through her eyes, and her eyes are obscured by webs. In this dream you can see there is just a huge spider crawling all over her body, wrapping her in an ever-tightening cocoon of web, against which she struggles.
The creature, though dwarfed by the bear, still huge in perception, crawls up onto her face, and many eyes peer through two, into two more, and the spider just like, I see you, hand off, and the bear rumbles. You're not going to be able to hold this for much longer. Oh my god, he's here, I say. In here? In the bear. Oh my god. Maybe in the room. And it's then that you see that for every beam of light cast by the crystals, there's an equal and equivalent shadow.
Oh, I like that there was a cast of waning knife around the room, there's like shadows of webs cast onto the walls. And they're like, they're moving with the knife, you know, when the shadows kind of like dance. Every once in a while, like, it catches the silhouette of a light, yeah, where it's like, it is here, but in like a realm we cannot see. And running from the light. Right, because the knife was made to keep Rian safe always.
So we kind of surmise that like, the knife was created to harm the gibbous man. Yeah. Could Billy do like a tricks of the trade to disable this trap, or this interesting webs that he's wound around the bear? Yeah, free the bear from the webs. Yeah. You would have to go into the shadow world, I think, into the into the shadow dance. You absolutely can. You can see Billy just like, all right, here we go. It's fine. No, no, no, it's totally fine for you to do this is probably the right move.
But let's just check in on what we're gonna do. Okay, before we do this. So remember the conversation we had a while ago when you jumped out the window? It's okay. Yeah, but we're gonna do things together. Yeah, let's get on the same page. Okay, so your plan here is to go into the shadow world? Yes, I want to cut the bear free. You want to cut the bear free. Okay, that makes sense. And it seems like her being asleep is putting her at risk.
So do we have to like wake her up to make it so that the spider can't access her anymore? I don't know. I feel like I feel like the walls are wearing thin. And it won't really matter whether she's asleep or not anymore. Okay, that makes I think everything that you have seen makes sense. Like the spiritual forms of the druids being corrupted by the outer dark is something that you don't think was possible. We know when your adventures began.
All of the realms are intermingling and mashing together. So like, yeah, her being asleep might not really matter as much anymore. Do we want to bring her out of this in order to keep her safe? I think we can try. Would you do it while I do this? Oh, if while Billy is in this in the ferry freeing the bear, if then you could wake her. Yeah, yeah. Tell her to lay still so I can do it carefully. Yes. All right. So Billy's going in shadow dance. Roll plus. Wait, I don't I can't go into shadow dance.
I don't have any fairy child left. Oh, shoot. What time of day is it? Definitely not daytime yet. That's for sure. Dang. Can't do anything. Billy's getting mad. Billy, if you can physically handle it, I have been able to use breaking the law to shove like shit into other worlds. Like that thing. Like that little battery. I'll do it. Will it hurt you? It doesn't matter anymore. Also, what happens if like your physical body goes into the other place? Who cares? The rest of me can come out. Billy.
We don't have time for this. We look over and you have emo hair. We don't have time for this. It's made of like frost. I'm in the shadows right now. Leaning against the wall. None of this matters. Nothing matters anymore. There comes a time where we have to sacrifice ourselves. What happened? Oh, my God. I I wasn't born just to have fun, be a little boy. I was born to not be a little boy. Sometimes little boys have to grow up, you know, and when you grow up, you have to do hard things. Okay.
You might have to save something. You might have to put others first. If I don't come back, remember me. Remember me as I was. Not as I am not. Remember me. Remember my round little boy body. Remember my round little face. All right. So the plan is to shove Billy through the dream. This seems in reality. Yeah. And you have some of those plants with you. I think you should take them. Specifically does not have the plants on her. Remember? He'd have to take the ones that you have. Okay.
I'll give them to Billy. Yeah. I take a little pinch. Yeah. You take one of them. No, you don't have to eat it, but just take it with you in case you need on the other side. How many hit points do you have? 17. 17. Okay. Take one with you for sure. Yeah. I hide it in the pouch of my cheek like a squirrel. Like some chew. Yeah. Yeah. So we're thinking that maybe Tuck can squeeze the physical body of Billy into the shadow realm. Yes.
We could send Billy through with the waning knife to cut the web. It's a big trust move. Billy, we do trust you. Things like look at a tuck. You gave it to a fucking bird for like seven years or something. It's a fully grown bird. So is Billy going in here to distract or to try like maim the gibbous man? I think I'm off or something. I think like that is a good question. You were talking about earlier to free the bear from binding to like cut the webs. Yeah.
But do you need the waning knife for that? We don't know. I don't know. I mean, it does seem like spooky web. And we know that the waning knife was created to bring harm to the gibbous man. Yeah. Yeah. So you should take it. If you're going to go, if your physical body is going to be close to like him, you have to have the knife with you. We'll be fine. What are you guys doing? What will we do out here? We'll try and wake up the bear. Well, we have to all work together to get you through. Yeah.
You free her. We wake her up and bring her back into this realm. But then you have to find a way back here. I'll find a way. Okay. I promise. Okay. I pinky promise. I promise. Okay. You promise? Yeah. Three of us. Three. Wow. Wow. That was easy. The earth shakes. Okay. Okay. This is a good plan. That's a good plan. Okay. Medicine. I got my knife. You got your knife. You got a medicine. Tuck leads over to big and he goes, we're fucking terrible parents. We're the worst.
We're the one of the worst. We're not even parents at this point. Hold your breath. Okay. Billy. I grab him by the scruff of his neck and like the back of his pants. And I guess I go, Billy, think about where you're trying to get to. The gibbous man. And I use breaking the law to smash him through the seam of the world here. Okay. Try it and break as few of his bones as possible. That sounds like 2d6 plus strength to me. I like that. Yeah.
Ving casts as much light through the wedding life through his moon chest beams of light. Oh yeah. Boom. Light the entire room up. So the gibbous man has nowhere to hide. So he's just like, boom. Like this spider caught. And I see that dark shadow and it almost envelops Billy's vision. Yeah. And the spider's like, his limbs are shaky. He's like being burned with a white light. Now, Billy, now. Yeah. But you just see its shadow on the wall in like negative or whatever. Yeah.
And we see the crisscross of like the shadow of the webs over top of the pair. Yeah. All right. 2d6 plus strength. Okay. Here we go. Billy. I believe in you. Believe in you. Okay. So that's a seven. Okay. Kind of works. So seven to nine kind of works. How much damage do I deal to Billy? Well, no, hold on. I think because it's not a hard failure. Okay. Billy, you tuck grabs you like collar and belt. Yeah. And it's like, fling me like one of your French girls. It's at the same time.
This is traveling so fast. And yet, like I'm being birthed. Yeah. Totally. Yeah. So I think that's what is getting darker. That's what it is. There's damage that will be dealt to you unless you can find a way to like, ease your own passage. So how does Billy make his way through? He cuts through the shadow with the knife. Oh, escape route. Cool. Dexterity or escape route. Oh, escape route. Yeah. Escape route's a good call. Escape this reality. Pressure is so much and he just stabs through it.
Awesome. All right. So escape routes plus dexterity, I believe. It is. Yeah. So two plus five is seven. Okay. And what is the seven to nine on escape route? I can stay or go, but if I go, it costs me. Leave something behind or bring something with me. The GM will tell you what. It would be so funny if you left the Gibbon or the waning knife behind. To not do this to me. Dude, it's the only thing that makes sense. So you shove Billy through. It's not going to leave the waning knife.
No, it's just, you shove Billy through, you see him, like, grab with, like, take the knife and stab it into a shadow, and start cutting the shadow. And Billy gets sucked through and clank, clank, clank. The waiting knife hits the cavern floor. Oh, he doesn't have it. I grab it. No! He doesn't have a weapon. And Billy… It's dark. It's dark. And it takes a second for you to adjust to the darkness and the perception and scale of this dream. You are in the dream of a bear.
And you, like, what, you open your eyes and you, like, start lifting yourself up. And you feel you're normal, what, three feet tall? Yeah. And next to you is a three foot long bear wrapped in web. Three foot long bear? You are in the dream of this bear. You are in the scale of the dream of this bear. So you realize you're enormous. Yes! And on top of this bear, scuttling around, almost like an egg of darkness. Like you're inside almost a dark reflection of the chamber the bear is in.
Sort of an eggshell. Like a film negative, almost. Yeah, so scuttling around on the walls as you stand up is a spider that is nearly as large as you are. Yeah. So there's kind of a, it's a very strange perception, but you realize you're on much more equal footing with the spider than you thought you would be. Feeling so buff. And the spider, like, you're getting slow, bro. The spider crouches up in, like, the top part of this egg and its many eyes peek down at you.
And I taunt him, I go, I see you now. And he goes, what, how did you get here? It doesn't matter, I'm coming after you. He believed us. I'm the spider now. I'm the spider. I got you for three minutes. What is that from, Spider-Man? Three minutes of playtime. It's Macho Man Randy Savage. I'm going to try this. I have a blow, I have two blow darts. Oh, interesting. I don't know if they'll work. It might. Spider covered in carapace, you'd have to hit a vital spot. Yeah. Eyeball.
Oh, I shoot for one of its many eyes. This would be 2D6 plus dexterity. 2D6 plus dexterity, for sure. So it's not your greatest stat currently. It's not my greatest. Six. So a failure. You shoot this dart and it, like, clatters off the inky black shell of the spider. And he crouches down and just says, you're going to have to do better than that. And leaps down off the ceiling onto you. Oh, shit. Can I roll out of the way? This is a hard failure.
So you do feel, like, fangs chomp into your shoulder. And you feel, like, numbness spreading through your arm. Ah, fuck. Back in the chamber. Sorry, what is the realm that he's in? You said it was, like, an egg-shaped chamber? Yeah, because if you look around, like, the chamber that you're in is kind of, like, it's huge. Uh-huh. But it does kind of have a vaguely rounded shape. Oh, so the dream has the same, like, the chamber in the dream has the same shape.
But it is, like, an inky black egg shell that they're inside of. I see. Okay, I missed that. Cool. And it's, now it's got a weird sort of, it's almost cramped inside, Billy. Yeah. Because it's you, the spider, and the bear. And I don't know how to move now that I'm so big. Yeah. So huge. Yeah. It's like when you're trying to run in your sleep, you know, it just takes effort. Yeah. Oh, you're, like, suspended in gaffa. Yeah. Yeah.
So even, like, trying to bring your blow dart up, like, it just felt so slow. It was so slow. Oh, yeah. And back in the chamber, the bear is rumbling and turning. Tuck and Ving, what are you doing? Buddy, what are you thinking for how to, like, wake this bear up? Um, communal whispers. Yeah. 2d6 plus wisdom? Ooh, nice. 14? Whoa. 14. Okay. I will aid. Oh, my God, he made it a six. What? How'd you do that? He fucked it up so bad. Okay, so how, what does this look like?
Ving goes up to the bear with Tuck. Hold, let's all lay hands on the bear. So you reach out and you connect with the bear, sink your hands into the fur of this massive spiritual creature, reaching out into the dream realm, trying to find Billy, sort of using him as, like, a lodestone for where this presence might exist in the spiritual landscape. And as you are, you remain sort of in this chamber, but there's a, the shadows deepen and the lights sharpen as there's this overlay.
And all of a sudden you see the webs projected over the bear. You see the spider crouched and attacking. And you see a massive Billy. Oh, my God. Huge spiritual Billy fighting with the spider that's biting him on the arm. Oh, shit. That's my boy. And Billy, from down low near the bear, you see two tiny Tuck and Vings. What? And we'll, uh, Tuck, what do you do? You see massive Billy being attacked by this spider. I go, Billy, fuck him up. And we'll cut to Billy. Get out of here. This is my fight.
We're trying to talk to the bear. We're not interfering in your fight. Get out of here. You're embarrassing me. Billy, you feel your shoulder and arm starting to numb as this spider is chomping into your shoulder. Oh, I think I'm a bad guy now. Nice. I think that's what's going on. All right, what do you do? Try to freeze the Gibbous Man in place. Okay, so rolling I'm a bad guy now, which is 2D6+. Wisdom. Wisdom. Twelve. Holy shit. That's pretty good. Yes. Okay, so on a 12+, what?
On a 12+, I get three hold. Mm-hmm. So the first thing I'm going to do is I will freeze the Gibbous Man in place. Okay. I pin him down. Yeah. So you pin several of his legs, including the ninth leg he has, which is made out of like dark, worn wood. What? Bending at the knee joints with a sharp spear point at the end of it. Oh. I know what that is. Cool. Yeah.
But you start freezing him to the inside edge of this eggshell, which you two see from below, like huge spikes of ice coming out, nailing the spider to the shell, but it's starting to strain against them. I would like to take hold of that wooden spear, and I'd like to dig it deeper into the Gibbous Man. Oh. Yeah. Whoa, nice. Like just, yeah. Like grab the leg and drive the point into him? Mm-hmm. Okay. Because I can deal damage to an enemy within reach. Then you just deal your damage. Yes!
So this is 2d6 because you're in your winter form as well. This is sick. It is nine. Holy shit. Is it the higher of the two or the sum? No, I get two. It's sum. Whoa! That's sick. That's pretty cool. So you grab the spear tip leg, sticking out of like a weird angular side of its body. Yeah. And drive the point between the carapace plates. Yeah. And it squeals. Somebody give me the spider squeal. As Ikor like pours out of between the plates. Mm-hmm. He goes, ah, no!
And I drive it deep and I say, this is from all your children. Oh, nice. Yes. And he just, ah! Mm-hmm. Ving, the bear is starting to stir and you see like a huge eye in this dream. The dream eye opens the physical eye and looks down at you. Hey, big girl. Hey. Wakey, wakey. Eggs and pancakes. Hi, honey. It's time for school. Um, hi. My name's Ving. This is Tuck. Oh, no, no, no. Look at me. Look at me. Look at me. I would like to welcome you to your waking nightmare.
Uh, we're here to let you know that everything's going to be okay and we're trying to deal with this seed of darkness that's found its way into your mind. I am restrained. Calm yourself, mother. Your restraints we can deal with. If you lie still, I will cut the ropes that bind you. Uh, 2D6 plus charisma. Five, six. Oh, shit. No, I ate. Okay. Yes. I ate Ving by like attempting to start cutting through the spider with the spirit axe. Mm-hmm.
And, oh, in this kind of middle zone, it's sort of both the axe that we know and the shadow axe from the end of season six. Oh, sure. Yeah. That Billy was wielding. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Ooh, cool. 2D6 plus bond. Oh. So, okay. Yeah. I'm just cutting through those webs. No problem. Yeah, the axe starts cleaving through the webs. Calm yourself. The bear closes her eyes. Mm-hmm. I will hold myself for as long as I can, but soon I must act. You must act. Free me now.
We are freeing you and I start aiding and cutting the binds. Great. The webs. We can start the cutting with Tuck because he's already started cleaving through. Totally. So, what are we looking at? Dexterity? Or strength, probably? Yeah. Or dexterity, maybe, to not harm the bear? Well, that's bad. So, roll the five. Oh. Oh, and you are cutting through the webs. Like, that is part of what is happening.
You're cutting through a lot of the webs, but in your haste, you feel the shadow blade dig deep into the spiritual form of this bear. Shit. And she roars. Shit. And the ground shakes and rocks are falling from above. Big, chill her out. I take some of the spiritual. plants, my hibernian plants, and I stuff them in the wound. I calm herself and I let her feel a cooling wisdom. She cuts her roar off and holds it, but you can tell that she is close to snapping these bonds herself and rampaging.
Billy, the spider is starting to crack through its icy bonds and it's also pulling the spear tip of its leg out of its own thorax. I'm trying to drive it in deeper and I'm reaching down like further shards of ice to like pierce through it to hold it down. 2d6 plus strength. 3. 3. Failure. Roll a d12. 12. Oh no! No! How much? How many of us do you have left? 6. Okay.
So you are like trying to force the spear tip leg deeper into the spider and you just you lose this like strength match and it's at this point as the spider like throws you off of the arm and drives the spear tip into your belly. No! That you realize this isn't the gibbous man strictly. You're not in the material, you're not in the spirit, you're in a dream right now. But even though this is not the gibbous man, you're still playing by the same dream rules and it can kill you. Oh my god.
And you are bleeding quite seriously as this spear tip yanks back out of you. Goes, you dare strike me? I am your father! And the dripping fangs lunge for your throat. And I think if this is a dream it's like playing and I go you're just a bug and then I want to like shrink him and eat him. No I really like that a kid just being like you're a bug. Squish. Yeah. Defy danger charisma. Oh please. Five. Five. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Dude. No. Did we get to do something yet? Dude.
We just saw him be stabbed. Okay. The spider is here for a purpose and its purpose is not killing the three of you. It lunges down with the fangs and it lunges next to Billy's head and plants its fangs in the bear. Whoa! No! And the bear lets out an ear-splitting roar. No! And begins to tear the webs off of herself. We go flying. You go yeah Tuck and Ving are tossed across the chamber.
The spider sees what is what has begun and like creeps up the wall from where Billy's like holding his dream gut as blood is pouring out of him. The spider looks down at you smugly Billy and says the end is coming. I'll see you at the tomb. Can I use my last hold? Yes. Can I freeze him in place? Oh yeah okay so that you what I pull the spear out of my gut really quickly and I throw it at him.
And as like a like a bug under a microscope the spirit flashes through the spider's body and pins it to the egg inside this dream and you feel the edges of the dream starting to disappear as the bear wakes. Yeah. What do you do? I'm gonna do escape route. Okay. Yeah. So the escape route is 2d6 plus dexterity. Yes. Do it. I keep failing. Please fucking no. Okay 10. Yes. Plus dexterity. Which is zero. Huge. Wow. Huge. Huge success. Do you have a debility to dexterity? Oh my god what are you doing?
No I don't. I don't have a debility. On a 10 plus I'm gone. So what does it look like as Billy re-emerges from the dream into the spirit or the material realm? Billy yeah kind of just like flops out of like nowhere like through the crack of nowhere yeah and just bleeding. Billy! You've all been- Wait are we here?
Oh yeah you're all in the same place you've been tossed to the edges of this cavern the bear's dream is ending Billy you see as you crawl through like the the edges of the dream burning away like a piece of paper that's smoldering and the spider is flailing its legs pinned by the spear you drove through it the spider is caught in the blaze and destroyed good good is the is the word that is floating in your head and then the bear begins to rise it's hard to describe the scale on which this is happening because we as people have never seen anything like it but this enormous creature stands up again lets a bellowing roar out that hurts to even be around and begins slamming against the walls of the cavern the only thing you should be trying to do is what your brain is telling you is get away Tucked as demon eyes to look at the bear yeah so demon eyes role plus wisdom get the questions of trap expert but with a demon yeah so 2d6 plus wisdom yeah 8 so I got one question one question is there a demon here so like you feel pouring out of the wounds that the spider left in the lunar bears chest just like a whole like what Billy saw a hole to the outer dark like that it was opening up a void inside the bear and while it wasn't the goal of the spider to implant a demon you feel a force rushing in to fill the vacuum and the constellation you are seeing through the holes in the chest and through to the outer dark is the constellation of the icon of despoil mint just what is this point is the is the despoiling is forcibly stripping a place of what makes it valuable or like holy or full of life I grabbed thing by the wrist and I like show him what I see like through the ring and I go can you do you think that Bing can save her she is not dead yet I think I can stop it I want to run up and try and do my best to healer thing to mix the saffron with the plants and high hibernia and some winewood and stuff it in in these in these in these wounds of the bear and see what happens to get close enough to actually administer this you're gonna have to get close enough to this massive rampaging bear so arms and paws and arms are swinging and rocks are falling does life symphony matter at all at this moment you could try and calm the situation a bit before you get close life symphony to calm the things plus Constitution is yes sorry 11 okay so on an 11 you reach out with the the spiritual energy and she stops her rampaging but her eyes are wild mm-hmm and she you feel the hot breath lancing down at you from her huge snout and I said just hold just give me a moment I have to try just let me try this is your time okay all right so we're mashing all the stuff up oh she has a wound mm-hmm I have one arrow left oh yeah I'm gonna try and pack a healing arrow and shoot her in the it shoot shoot the wound 2d 6 plus dexterity 6 can I aid yeah 2d 6 plus 1 how are you aiding 7 tip the bow up last minute you're gonna miss you're gonna miss yeah and the arrow flies out carrying this payload of like healing materials and saffron and holy water and healing herbs yeah what does it look like when it hits the the wound or the bear like how does it how does it look like it is helping calm this this rage it's like lands deep into the puncture wound where all the darkness is coming out and it like it looks like it causes more pain because it would initially yeah but then you see the eyes of the bear the whites around it calm the writhing slows the other wound beside the wound with the arrow sticking in it slows down and the the darkness oozing out ceases so the bear kind of weaves back and forth on her legs with the damage that was dealt to her and I think like she looks exhausted like the feel like she is woken and even for this short time she looks like she must sleep and weaves on her legs and thumps down onto the floor of the cavern and begins licking her wounds and groaning lowly and painfully and it looks like the threat of the bear breaking loose may have passed she's going to be tending to herself and this horrible spiritual one that she's been dealt but then talk because you're the one that spoke to stone I about it you realize the bear still woke uh-huh we gotta we have to get out of here now okay okay fine and it's I think there's like if the camera was following you this is a shaky camera kind of situation where you're like going up the tunnel and you're hustling as quickly as you can and then you come out onto the beach and there's just lightning and wind and clouds burning trees burning trees a bird like streaks out of the sky and slams into the beach oh and sand and water is sprayed all over and on the horizon having regrouped a little bit it's your old friend Thronebreaker but where do you where are you going can we just go straight for Thronebreaker is there any way we can do that or is that at all a good idea we can I'm very angry yeah very angry last time we fought Thronebreaker you turned into like a giant bird I want to do that again with all these burning trees yes is the Sun rising oh they fell through the storm that's it's hard to tell but Billy you start to feel the growing power of the sunrise well at the end of the last day I roll my bones I got a 5 nice Billy yeah now's now's the time you feel the peeking through the clouds.
Ten! Yes! I get five hold. Five hold! Sweet! So what's the plan? I want to do a call of nature and call upon the spirits of the land and use all the burning broken bits of Hibernia and build a Chimera Voltron Robot Pacific Rim that we can all jump in and try and get some action on Thronebreaker. Alright. Call of nature 2d6 plus… Constitution. Constitution. 2d6 plus con. Eight. Eight. Okay. So on a seven to nine? I would like to change one of these with my five and make it a ten. Okay. Cool.
Alright. You reach out. You knew this was coming. What the bones know, you knew that this confrontation was about to arrive. And you get a ten. On ten plus you get two requests. While you have hold, the spirit will attempt to aid you with the best of its ability. Great. And I think you get three because you took a move to increase that. Eagerbee gets me plus one request. Okay.
So you reach out with your spiritual energies and burning logs from the beach sand and stone, seawater all the detritus of Hibernia under attack form under your watchful gaze burning wings from the burning wooden trees. Phoenix! Oh shit! That's very cool. That's rad. Burning wings, long powerful neck, sharp beak a phoenix takes form before you creating… One of the trees of knowledge has also broken off from one of the rocks.
I sense it in its torn state and implant it deep in the phoenix chest to echo my own tree of knowledge. Hell yeah. And there are three cool and comfortable spots for three powerful adventurers to mount up. But we can also just send it off to fight for us. Oh no, I want to get on top of it. Let's go! This is sick. When you say that Took is already on top, he's like Dude, this is sick! He's riding, I'm like, oh actually there's a cockpit. You can actually go in. Oh, you want to be on top?
Alright, that's fine. With his axe? Yeah. Go, go, go, go, go, go! And the phoenix's wings spread wide, taking off into the skies. Framed by the powerful clouds of the storm. Took has his axe aloft. Took is on top of the head of the bird. Axe in the sky. Like the amethyst crystal. Beaming bright. And then he uncorks sabotage. And you hear Screenplay by Why did I say that? You had to have it lined up before you do this. Shit, shit, shit, shit. I can't believe you didn't have it lined up.
I'm so sorry. Don't be sorry. I go, I go, go, go! Do it, do it, do it! And as you take off into the sky the wings of the phoenix burning underneath you, one thought fills your mind. Thronebreaker must die. Sick! And that's where we're gonna end it for this week. I'm your Game Master Sean O'Hara. Joining me as always playing Tacoma Dome the Barbarian, Abdul Aziz.
